Hai fatto una copia di default.settings.php chiamandola settings.php?
Se sì prova ad andare in tuosito.it/install.php dovrebbe partire.
a me sembra piu' un problema di librerie PHP non compatibili con Drupal. sembra che la libreria pcre non sia stata compilata con il supporto a UTF8. Penso tu debba rivolgerti al tuo hosting.

ho cambiato il default.settings.php in settings.php? ho installato il sito su hosting aruba
e ho messo anche i moduli per la traduzione italiano...
primo step installazione mi fa scegliere la lingua... OK
poi si blocca e mi dice...
